A wind mitigation survey is an inspection comprised of four main parts as required by Florida Statute (Click here) 627.0629
- The window and door shutters; the type of attachment, and whether they are Florida or Dade County approved.
- The roof covering, type, and age.
- The roof’s geometry, the attachment of the trusses, and the wall material: wood, concrete, or masonry (reinforced or unreinforced).
- The roof decking: material, its thickness, and type and spacing of the fasteners.
