Wind Mitigation Surveys

A wind mitigation survey is an inspection comprised of four main parts as required by Florida Statute (Click here) 627.0629

  1. The window and door shutters; the type of attachment, and whether they are Florida or Dade County approved.
  2. The roof covering, type, and age.
  3. The roof’s geometry, the attachment of the trusses, and the wall material: wood, concrete, or masonry (reinforced or unreinforced).
  4. The roof decking: material, its thickness, and type and spacing of the fasteners.
